Introducing the #Humankindness cast: Clare Pooley

We've already announced the official cast of Humankindness - the vegan and non-vegan who will be working together to create the show. Now it's time to meet them individually and learn more about them! First up, our vegan performer Clare Pooley...

Name: Clare Pooley

Ethical Leaning: Vegan

Training: I trained as an opera singer in Cardiff; first at Cardiff University and then at Wales International Academy of Voice.

What might we have seen you in?: When I was living in Cardiff I worked as a supporting artist so you may have seen me in the background of His Dark Materials, Casualty and season two of Sex Education on Netflix.

Fun fact: A fun fact about me is that I love kickboxing and I wanted to be a spy when I was younger.

Why did you choose to go vegan?: I'm vegan because I do not want to harm or exploit animals. I think it is an individual responsibility to know exactly where and who our food is coming from.

Anything about Humankindness you're most looking forward to?: I am probably most looking forward to learning about how most people have formed their opinions on Dairy and Veganism. I can't wait to have conversations with people about these topics.
