We are on the lookout for people who are willing to be interviewed for our verbatim play exploring attitudes to milk, the dairy industry and veganism.
Created and performed by Clare Pooley and Sam Ross, Humankindness combines live art, movement, and video design to chart the evolution of both the human taste for milk and the growing vegan movement, as well as the fraught discourse surrounding both. Featuring the voices of dairy farmers, animal rights activists, vegans and omnivores alike, it asks whether we can ever have constructive debates in our increasingly polarised society, and whether some subjects should even be up for debate.
We are keen to interview a wide variety of people, vegans and non-vegans alike! In particular, we would love to speak with these kinds of individuals:
- Dairy farmers (both working at local and industrial dairies)
- Animal rights activists and protestors
- Vegetarians (i.e. those who don't eat meat but do consume dairy)
- Ecofeminists
- Dieticians/Health experts
- Environmentalists
- Anyone taking part in Veganuary
