Humankindness
Created & performed by Clare Pooley and Sam Ross
Milk. A staple of the human diet for over 10,000 years.
Recently however, some people have been trying to change all that…
A vegan and a non-vegan are coming together to make a show about milk and veganism. Using verbatim interviews from vegans and dairy eaters alike, they want to have a balanced debate about it all. To set the record straight. They’re going to try not to spill anything.
Humankindness is a verbatim show about attitudes towards milk, the dairy industry and veganism. Created and performed by Clare Pooley and Sam Ross, the show combines live art, movement, and video design to chart the evolution of both the human taste for milk and the growing vegan movement. It asks whether we can ever have constructive debates in our increasingly polarised society, and whether some subjects should even be up for debate.
Both seriously provocative and hilariously absurd, Humankindness aims to leave audiences with a greater understanding of both sides of the ‘dairy debate’ and allow them to come to their own conclusions.

We are on the lookout for people with something interesting to say about dairy and/or veganism who are willing to be interviewed for the project. More information here.
